Use Muscle Control to Fine-Tune your Body

An explanation of muscle control would not be complete without retelling its entire history, and all the great men who spread its knowledge. Many photos and few words are needed to describe the actual exercises themselves. They are very simple concepts, but not easy to master by any means.

Muscle control is a fine-tuning art, like isolation weight lifting, that gives you better strength and control in every single muscle of your body. A beginner to exercising should not expect great gains if he only starts with muscle control and isolation weight curls. The key is to do compound movements, attaining great strength in large muscle areas first, to build a solid foundation.

However, do not let this come across to you as a downplaying of muscle control or even isolation weight training. It is not. Muscle control is a great complement to any system, but should not be considered the foundation of one’s entire exercise program. When you have spent time building overall strength in your body, using Muscle Control will help you gain greater control over what you have built.

Youtube.com has many fine examples of muscle control. Here is one I really like (No, that's not me.. I wish it were!):

And here is an actual vintage footage of the great Eugen Sandow, displaying some upper-back muscle control and hardcore abdominal posing. This video is circa 1894, which should tell you that natural exercise of the body has been around a long, long time (a lot longer than weights!):
